The Missing Piece Between Your Content and Your Sales

Wanna work together? Cool, me too.

When I’m not on the ‘gram, I’m popping into your inbox to help you be more successful on IG

Should we make this official? I’ll send you my Instagram Growth Roadmap immediately just for hopping on.

If your Instagram looks like this right now:

  • You’re posting consistently
  • You’re getting views
  • You’re even gaining followers

…but when it comes to sales?

👉 It’s crickets.

This episode is for you.

Because the problem is NOT your content.

There’s just a missing piece between your content… and your sales.

And once you see it, you won’t be able to unsee it.

The Truth No One Tells You About Sales on Instagram

Most people think:

👉 “If I post more content, I’ll make more sales.”

But that’s not actually how it works.

Here’s what really happens:

Content → Trust → Sales

Your content doesn’t directly create sales.
It creates trust first.

And if that trust piece is missing?

👉 Your content will never convert.

The Real Missing Piece: Connection + Direction

There are TWO things your content needs to lead to sales:

  1. Connection (trust)
  2. Direction (what to do next)

If either one is missing… sales don’t happen.

Let’s break it down.

Part 1: Connection — Do People Trust You?

Ask yourself:

  • Do people feel like they know you?
  • Do they trust you as the expert?
  • Do they see themselves in your content?

If the answer is “eh… kinda?”

That’s your problem.

What happens when connection is missing:

People:

  • watch your content
  • maybe like it
  • maybe even follow

…but they don’t buy.

Because there’s no emotional pull.

Why this happens:

Your content might be:

  • too surface-level
  • only tips (no depth)
  • missing stories
  • not relatable
  • not specific enough

It’s helpful… but it’s not sticky.

How to fix it:

👉 Add personal stories
👉 Share client transformations
👉 Show real-life moments

Instead of:
“3 tips to grow your Instagram”

Try:
“I tried this with a client and here’s what actually happened…”

That’s what creates connection.

Part 2: Direction — Do They Know What to Do Next?

This is where MOST people drop the ball.

Even if someone trusts you…

👉 If they don’t know how to buy, they won’t.

Ask yourself:

  • Do you clearly say how to work with you?
  • Do you tell people what to do next?
  • Is your offer easy to understand?

If not…

👉 You’re losing sales daily.

Why this happens:

You assume people will:

  • click your bio
  • figure it out
  • “just know” what you offer

They won’t.

Confused people don’t buy.

How to fix it:

👉 Clear CTAs (every time)

  • “DM me ‘audit’”
  • “Apply here”
  • “Grab this in my bio”
  • “Comment ‘guide’ and I’ll send it”

👉 Make your next step OBVIOUS

The 3 Biggest Gaps Killing Your Sales

Let’s call these out directly 👇

Gap #1: You’re Only Posting Value (No Sales)

You’re helping… but never selling.

So your audience stays in:
👉 “free mode”

They don’t even realize they can buy from you.

Fix:

Normalize selling.

Start in stories:

  • talk about your offer casually
  • share results
  • explain what you do

Gap #2: You’re Not Talking About Your Offer Enough

You mentioned it once…

…and disappeared.

That’s not enough.

People need repetition.

They need reminders.

They need to see it multiple times before they’re ready.

Fix:

👉 Talk about your offer multiple times per week
👉 Mix feed + stories

Gap #3: Your Content Doesn’t Match Your Offer

This one is BIG.

If your content attracts the wrong people…

👉 they won’t buy.

Example:
If you’re selling done-for-you services…

But posting DIY tips?

You’re attracting people who want to do it themselves.

Fix:

👉 Align your content with your buyer

Instead of:
“3 ways to grow your account”

Try:
“How I helped my client grow 20k followers from one post”

Now you’re attracting buyers.

What Actually Leads to Sales (Simple Framework)

Here’s the flow that works:

  1. Growth content → brings people in
  2. Connection content → builds trust
  3. Value content → proves expertise
  4. Sales content → directs action

All four need to work together.

Example Weekly Flow:

  • Post 1: Growth (relatable/shareable)
  • Post 2: Value (teaching → saves)
  • Post 3: Connection (story/behind-the-scenes)
  • Post 4: Sales (CTA + offer)

That’s your ecosystem.

You Don’t Need to Sell Every Day

And I will die on this hill 😂

You do NOT need to sell every day.

But you DO need to sell regularly.

Because your audience needs to learn:

👉 you don’t just give free content
👉 you have deeper ways to help

The Mindset Shift You Need

You are not annoying people by selling.

You are helping them.

If someone needs your offer…

👉 selling is a service.

Recap

If you’re not making sales, it’s usually because:

  • you’re missing connection
  • you’re missing direction
  • you’re not selling enough
  • your content isn’t aligned

Your content isn’t the problem.

👉 The gap is.

Your Action Challenge

For your next post:

  1. Teach something valuable
  2. Add how you help with it
  3. Tell them exactly what to do next

Example:
“Want help with this? Here’s how to work with me.”

That’s it.
