i paid a lot of money for this advice so you don’t have to...

these are the things that actually changed my business… after spending tens of thousands on mentors, these 6 things are quite obviously the things that have helped my business the most:

1. marketing gets treated like my highest paying customer. it goes on the calendar first, before client work, before everything else...it’s going to make you better and yes there are going to be days you don’t want to do it, but this is important

2. i keep one set list of what i offer. i used to let people talk me into some custom version of it and i’d end up doing more work for less money every single time ((actually this happened this past week, someone asked me to piece meal together a VIP day and i had to explain why that wasn’t good for me OR him. He totally understood and was thankful for my honesty, and yes, he booked!))

3. fridays i actually look at my numbers ((analytics from IG as well as money)) instead of just feeling weird about money and metrics and avoiding the app. you can’t fix what you won’t look at

4. i have a hard stop time every day and i protect it like it’s an actual client on my calendar... because burnout creeps up faster than you think ((ask me how i know))

5. i say no to leads that aren’t a fit now instead of convincing myself i can make it work. a bad fit client costs more than the money is worth

6. and i hire help way before i’m drowning, not after i’ve already been under water for a month. it’s so much more expensive to fix a mess than to prevent one
